Quiet and diffident, I have not reached yet, though at times I wonder, Thoreau's condition of 'quiet desperation'. What the blog title is about is the enraged desperation I feel regularly about the way we are all worked over by politicians, media mandarins and similar elitists who possess an almost limbic instinct for rule. Postings will be about my thoughts on their activities.

There will be an emphasis on Catholic matters also. This comes from a lifetime of service to Catholic education in the west of Scotland and an intense interest in the Catholic Church worldwide, apart from the fact of belief and practice.
